Come one, Come all! Help us find homes for all of these parakeets!!! Guys. People are dropping off parakeets faster than we can rehome them. It is insane. PLEASE consider taking in 1-3 of these precious little guys. PLEASE discourage your friends or family from buying parakeets from the large pet-store chains. It is mind boggling how people buy them then surrender them with no remorse. Even Petco and Pet Supplies Plus are sending people here to surrender their parakeets rather than taking them back! Listen, I am beyond grateful that people are surrendering them to us rather than letting them fly away but I need help finding them homes! Our adoption fee is $50/bird. I know to some that it seems steep for a parakeet.. But we disease test every single bird that is surrendered to us. That $50 fee only covers ⅓ of the cost it takes to disease test each bird. If you know of anyone that is looking for a fun little buddy to keep them company, Budgies can be a great choice. They can become shockingly talented little talkers and this group cracks me up! They are sooo funny and love to play with their toys. They are a constant source of entertainment. If you know of anyone looking to buy a parakeet, encourage them to adopt instead!
