Strength & Comfort for Every Step

Perches support natural grip, promote foot health, and allow your parrot to exercise its feet and legs. Using a mix of materials, textures, and sizes keeps feet strong, prevents fatigue, and mimics the variety found in nature.

    Perch Diameters By Size

Using a variety of sizes is critical to prevent pressure sores, arthritis, and bumblefoot.

Provide at least 8-12 (or more) perch types in the cage to encourage movement and foot flexibility.

🪶 Tip: Parrots in the wild do not have uniform perching of any kind - variety is key!

    Key Considerations for Perch Selection

    • Variety is Key: Provide a mix of diameters, textures, and shapes (natural branches) to exercise foot muscles.
    • "Perfect Perch" Concept: Natural, non-uniform branches are better than perfectly round dowels.
    • Placement: Place thinner perches higher for sleeping and larger, textured perches in other areas.
