Shipping Our Birds Safely

There is nothing more important to Parrot Stars than the health, safety, and comfort of our parrots — including when they’re traveling. We’re proud to offer safe, professional shipping within the continental United States through major airlines.
Our shipping fee is $500, and each shipment is carefully planned and executed by our experienced team.

Here's what's included:

1. Airline Flight Booking

We book flights through major carriers such as Delta and American Airlines.
  • Delta flights average $180 and are included in our standard $500 shipping rate.
  • If Delta service is not available to your preferred airport, we may need to book through American Airlines, which averages $320. In that case, an additional $140 fee will apply to cover the airline’s higher rate (for a total of $640).
Both Delta and American Airlines are trusted carriers for live animal transport. We prefer Delta when available due to its extensive live animal handling network, but American is equally safe and often services smaller or more remote airports.

2. Premium Travel Carrier & Preparation — $150

Each bird travels in a brand-new, customized airline-approved carrier that includes:
  • Proper screening, bedding, perch, and food bowls
  • Extra food taped to the carrier
Staff preparation time to ensure the setup is safe, comfortable, and compliant

3. Flight Coordination & Paperwork — $50

Our team spends several hours booking the flight, preparing all required documentation, and coordinating detailed instructions with you for pickup.

4. Early Morning Airport Transport — $120

A trained driver is scheduled as early as 2:30 AM to safely deliver your bird to the airport.
The airline requires birds to be checked in 3–4 hours before departure, and the process typically takes 1–2 hours to complete.

Why It Costs $500

We understand some breeders charge as little as $200 for shipping. However, our pricing reflects a care-first, professional process designed to protect your parrot every step of the way.
We do not profit from shipping — in fact, we often absorb part of the cost due to the time and staff required. We simply refuse to cut corners when it comes to the well-being of our birds.
Your parrot’s journey is planned with the same care and attention that we put into their upbringing.
