Our Breeding Program

At Parrot Stars, we are proud to operate our breeding program in Florida, where we raise the highest-quality, ethically bred parrots with care, expertise, and respect.
Every baby that joins the Parrot Stars family comes from our own flock — we own and care for all of the parent birds ourselves.

Our Philosophy

Our breeding program was founded on the same principles that guide everything we do at Parrot Stars: education, welfare, and ethical practices. We believe responsible breeding begins with respect for the individual parrots — ensuring they are healthy, enriched, and living in a natural, low-stress environment.

Each pair is carefully matched for health, temperament, and genetic diversity, never for volume or profit. Our goal is not to mass-produce, but to raise strong, well-socialized babies who will thrive in their future homes.

Our Facility

Our Florida facility provides large, outdoor aviaries that allow our parent birds to fly, forage, and nest naturally. Each pair has access to sunshine, fresh air, and a variety of enrichment that encourages natural behaviors and strong pair bonds.

Our experienced caretakers provide daily monitoring, fresh foods, and high-quality diets, ensuring every bird — from parent to chick — receives exceptional care.

Hand-Raising & Early Socialization

Once chicks are ready to be hand-fed, they are lovingly raised by our trained avian specialists. From the earliest stages, our babies are handled daily and exposed to a variety of sights, sounds, and gentle training that builds confidence and trust.

By the time our young parrots arrive at Parrot Stars, they are social, curious, and ready to begin their next chapter with their new families.

Ethics & Transparency

We take our responsibility seriously. Every chick we raise is a reflection of our commitment to parrot welfare and education.

Our breeding program also exists in an effort to decrease the smuggling of parrots into the United States. Smuggling is illegal, unethical, and continues to be detrimental to wild parrot populations and conservation efforts around the world.

We are proud to share updates about our breeding flock, and we welcome questions from those who want to learn more about responsible breeding and what makes Parrot Stars different.
